Welcome to Ray School
Ray School is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural elementary school located in the heart of the Hyde Park community just two blocks from the University of Chicago campus. The public school offers an exciting and challenging curriculum that includes Spanish instruction for all students.

Ray is open to anyone within the school boundaries and to children chosen through the Hyde Park Magnet Cluster/Options for Knowledge program.
Our Premiere Preschool Program Includes:
- One half-day program and the one full-day, tuition based program
- Both are play-based which means we understand that children learn best when they are emotionally engaged in their learning.

A World Language School
What is a World Language School?
Ray School has the distinction of being a World Language School. This means we offer Spanish language lessons to our students K through 6th grade. Students also have the opportunity to study Latin in second grade. They have the option to continue Latin lessons in an extra curricular program after second grade.
¿Qué es una World Language School?
Ray School tiene la distinción de ser una "World Language School". Esto significa que ofrecemos clases de Español durante 40 minutos a todos nuestros alumnos desde K hasta 6° curso. Tambien enseñamos Latín en 2° curso y los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de estudiar Latín en el programa extra-curricular después de 2º.
